Mercy's River - Company Message
The most important thing to know about Mercy’s River is that we love the Lord and it is because of Him that we go and sing.  No matter where we go or who we sing to, our message will always be the same.  It is not about us, it is all about HIM!

Mercy’s River started singing together in their home church, Willow Valley Baptist Church, about 15 years ago.  The members are Jimmy Townsend, Linda Hicks, Charles and Kathy Gilliam.

Jimmy and Linda (siblings) have been singing together since they were teenagers.  For about 11 years, they sang with their family, The Hagaman Family.  Their family has a long heritage of singing and taught them to sing using traditional shape-note music, something they continue to use today.

Charles and Kathy Gilliam have been married for 26 years and have been singing together the same amount of time.  They actually met each other at a Gospel singing where they were both singing with different groups.

We want to let people know that Jesus loves them, He made a way for them to be saved, and He has prepared a place for all those that accept Him as Savior.  If you have never asked Jesus to come into your heart, the plan of salvation is simple and we invite you to trust in the Lord to day.

The Plan of Salvation

Jesus Said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 KJV

*Realize you are a sinner

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 KJV

*Understand the Penalty for sin is eternal death.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 KJV

*Realize God loves you and sent Jesus to pay for your sins.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 KJV

*Repent of your sins --- a heart change in your attitude toward sin.

"I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 KJV

*Receive the gift of God's salvation by trusting Jesus as your own Savior.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 KJV
